Fly Tying Classes

Held most Mondays from 19:00–21:00 at Vardre Rugby Club, Clydach from November through to March. These relaxed sessions cover fly tying techniques, patterns, and rod setup. Juniors are welcome, and each evening ends with a social pint and chat. (No classes on second Mondays of the month.)

Stocking the River Tawe with Brown Trout

Before the opening of the Brown Trout season we aim to stock our fishing water on the River Tawe in South Wales with Brown Trout (Triploids) and repeat it again towards the end of May. Stocking dates must remain flexible according to the river and weather conditions, to ensure the welfare of the Brown Trout we add to the River Tawe.

Tawe Disabled Fishers (TDF) Safari Days

Running typically on the first Wednesday of each month from March to September, these popular events take place at Tyn‑y‑Graig Fishery in Crynant for the 2026 season. Members enjoy a friendly competition based on the first two trout caught, along with shared tips, help netting fish, and plenty of camaraderie.
