It’s that time of year again so you can expect to see the Pontardawe and Swansea Angling Society stand at the Heart of the Valley show on 6th September 2025 in Pontardawe recreation ground, South Wales, as well as interactive demonstrations in the ring.
Here’s a reminder from last year, where we had:
An introduction to casting and fishing;
Entomology where the children thoroughly enjoyed looking at insects on the river bed from kick sampling,
Fly tying demonstration and introduction.
In addition to the above, you can find more information about the club’s activities, including disabled activities throughout the year. They consist of monthly Tawe Disabled Fishers days fishing a still water or reservoir, stocking the river with trout, and a weekly social fly tying for the upcoming season. Water testing throughout the year on the river Tawe to monitor pollution and the health of the river to maintain our fishing of Trout and Salmon.
